PGME and UGME collaborate to support resident investigators and medical students in research

McMaster Postgrad and Undergrad identified an opportunity in 2020 to collaborate with each other to support resident investigators with their research projects and offer medical students the opportunity for research engagement and mentorship. PGME created a system for postgraduate Learners to submit and post details about their research project. Once submitted, information is published in Medportal for all medical students to review and volunteer for, based on their areas of interest/specialty/location/time, etc. The research posting board serves to connect medical students and postgraduate Learners interested in common health research areas, giving them the opportunity to work closely together and learn from their peers.
