The Equity, Diversity, and Anti-Oppression Team of the Equity and Inclusion Office is delighted to announce the launch of the Students, Staff, and Scholars (S4E) Microgrant Program! As McMaster continues their commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) on campus and encouraging Black flourishing and excellence at McMaster, these microgrants seek to enable innovation, progression, community collaboration, and equity within initiatives/projects, events, and research aimed to enhance and improve human rights, dignity, respect, and belongingness.
Given your dedication to advancing EDIA and Black Excellence at McMaster, we invite you to apply for one of the S4E Microgrants:
- EDIA Progressive Research Microgrant of $1500
- EDIA Impact Initiative Microgrant of $1500
- EDIA Community Event Microgrant of $500
- Young, Gifted and Black Research Microgrant of $1500
- Black Flourishing Initiative Microgrant of $1500
- Black Community Empowerment Event Microgrant of $500

- Applications open: September 6th 2024
- Application closes: October 18th 2024
- Notification of acceptances: November 22nd 2024
- Distribution of funds: up to department or faculty process.
- Impact report outlining the usage of funds: July 31st 2025
