The PGME Office will offer registration fee refunds for residents who complete training prior to June 30th of the current academic year. This applies to residents who are in their final year of their training program. Please note that all forms of leave, including medical and parental/maternity leave, do not qualify for the resident registration rebate
Requests from residents: The request must be submitted no more than 30 days prior to the trainee’s completion date and no more than 30 days after the last day of training. For example: If a resident completes training on August 1st, the form must be submitted by August 31st. Forms submitted more than 30 days after the completion date will not be accepted. Refunds will only be considered & refunded once a resident has completed their training. Refunding retroactively is not available. For example: a resident begins training in October 2015 and completes training in October 2017, the eligible reimbursement period is November 2017 – June 2018, not July-September 2015. Please note, partial months will not be refunded.
Registration fees are for the academic year regardless of when the resident begins their training. Academic year: July 1-June 30. Below are the amounts a resident will be refunded depending on the month he/she completes training. The amount refunded will be .12 (1/12) of the registration fee per each full month refunded.
